I volunteered in Sophia’s classroom this morning. Today was the day that the kids were working on a Thanksgiving turkey. One by one, I painted each child’s thumb and palm brown, then painted their fingers red, orange, yellow and green. After the painting was complete, they stamped their hand on a piece of paper. Voila! – a turkey. Tomorrow, after the paint has dried, they will add a beak, feet, eyes and a waddle. It was a fun morning. The kids had some free time after they finished with other projects at their table and made the hand print turkey. Sophia decided to color a turkey for me. Actually, she colored five different turkey pictures, but this one is my favorite. 🙂
