It has been over two years since my salmon colored amaryllis has bloomed. Over the winter I kept the bulb in a pot in the basement window. One day when I was watering my plants I noticed a flower stem beginning to grow. A few weeks later there were three beautiful blossoms.
Outdoor temperature | 14 degrees.
Inside temperature | 69 degrees.
Outside | nothing is growing.
Inside | something is blooming.
It’s nice to see a bit of summer in the midst of winter.
