Winter can be long and cold in Minnesota. Blizzards and subzero weather make it difficult to get outside. The days are short. Sunrise is just before 8am and sunset is at 4:30pm. I do have to admit that the big snowstorms we’ve had lately and the late sunrises have made for some great photography. This past week was exceptional

It’s been a while. My number one fan (and partner in life) asked why I haven’t posted much this year. I think I’ve forgotten why I love photography. I’m trying to remember. Hopefully there will be more mornings like this to help. Wish me luck.
February has past. March is almost over. I’ve neglected posting photos over the last several weeks. Partly because my hard drive crashed and I had to install a new one. This process was not as simple as I had hoped. I still have to retrieve photos and documents from the old one. Luckily the drive is not completely dead and I have a back up of everything.

Snow, tree, pine cone. I’m sensing a theme here.
How about a new theme. Sunrises, super blue blood moon and a full moon?
And best of all, a photo before the father-daughter ball.
I’m looking forward to spring and the hopes of warmer temperatures, green grass and no more ice and snow. Until then…
