I wasn’t planning to get up in the middle of the night and take photos of the full moon, but when I woke up shortly before 2:00 a.m. I decided that I should at least check it out. I think it was worth going outside in my bathrobe in sub-freezing temperatures to see this. I didn’t wait to for the peak of the lunar eclipse, but instead went back to bed to get some rest before my 5:30 a.m. alarm.

    1. Thank you! I wish I would have done a little more prep work with my camera settings and tripod prior to going to bed. I did a little fumbling around in the dark when I got up, but am happy with the shots I did get. Thank you for your comment.

  2. Beautiful image’s! I was up at 1:45 but it was cloudy in Maryland so I just went to bed. I figured someone would capture some amazing images of the blood moon and it looks like you did!! 🙂 excellent job.
