Mike and I hiked the trails of the Bagley Nature Area for the first time. I can’t believe we have never been there before. It was an overcast day, but that didn’t stop the fall colors from looking amazing.
Road Trip
Sebastian and I took a quick road trip to visit my Mom and to pick raspberries on Friday. In addition to gathering raspberries, we did some hiking and made our way out to the old white pine tree and the furthest hay fields. We picked up some scratches, bug bites and a wood tick along the way, but it was totally worth it.
Perfect Day
To celebrate my recent birthday, Mike suggested that we take the day off from work and go hiking up the North Shore. I am grateful that he made the recommendation. The weather was gorgeous for early June. Here are a few highlights of our road trip.
Shovel Point, Tettegouche State Park
Baptism River above the High Falls, Tettegouche State Park

Silver Bay Marina
Silver Creek Cliff Tunnel
The Shack, Stoney Point
After we arrived home, I insisted on a family photo in front of the apple tree in the backyard.
Thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. It was indeed.
