We had a spectacular weekend to view the fall colors. The weather was sunny, warm and absolutely beautiful. We visited my Mom out on the farm and made a quick trip out into the woods. Although the mosquitoes were horrendous, the view was worth it.
Autumn Trail
More photos from the weekend to come later this week.
Sophia and I took Daphne to a nearby park on Sunday. The park has hiking trails that follow a river that flows into Lake Superior. We enjoyed seeing the change of colors in some of the plants and shrubs. There were primarily pine trees along the trails and not many leaf trees so we didn’t see as much color as we thought we would. It was still a beautiful walk on one of the last days of summer.

We had very strange weather this week with stormy skies in colors of yellow and green. The worst of the storms missed us, but others received large hail and wind gusts of up to 70mph. I don’t think I have ever seen clouds like the ones below. The photos don’t do them justice, but they certainly show the eerie colors and odd cloud formation.

Out on the lake, we saw three different ships that were lit up from the odd light, but the dark skies in the distance show where the heavy rainstorms were taking place.
Coming Into Port
After a week of weather ups and downs, we are enjoying sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70’s this weekend. Perfect September weather.
