Karen’s Birthday

Mike’s Mom celebrated her birthday last week with two separate parties.  We had an “adults only” (except for baby Max) evening with dinner and bowling the night before her birthday.  We also celebrated with all of the grandkids on her actual birthday.

Here we are at Ol’ Mexico.

Karen had the highest single game score of the evening.  Anyone who has their own bowling ball and shoes has to be a serious bowler.

Our celebration with the all of the kids was much less serious as you can see from the pictures below.

The End Of An Era

Last week we took out the Baby Jogger, Cozy Coupe and Playskool Wagon and brought them up on the deck.  The kids, Mike and I washed and scrubbed them until they sparkled.  The time had come to pass along our baby stuff  to our friends down the street with an 8 month old baby.  We took Sophia for one last ride around the neighborhood in the Baby Jogger.  Sebastian and Mike pushed the Cozy Coupe and I pushed Sophia in the Jogger down to our friends’ house.  I think we will miss the Jogger the most.  We bought the Jogger over 8 years ago when Sebastian was just 5 months old.  I brought him out for his inaugural ride on a cool February morning in the snow.  We came across an old man along the way who commented, “Nice cart”.  I hope our friends experience some of those great memories and cherish them as much as we do.
