With snow showers during the day, I didn’t give much thought to staying up late on a work night to take photos of the lunar eclipse. Just before getting ready for bed, I peeked out our front window and was surprised to see stars and the beginnings of the lunar eclipse.  I set up my tripod, put a long lens on my camera, bundled up and headed out the front door.  Lucky for me, I was able to set up my tripod on our steps and have a front row seat to the eclipse.  There were passing clouds that interfered with my photos, but I was able to get a handful of decent shots before heavier cloud cover rolled in at 11:00 p.m.

      1. Oh of course, that’s definitely a must. I was surprised to see some photographers without them last night. Not sure how those turned out but they seemed pretty happy about the shots at the time.
